About Me

Hey there! I’m Rick, the guy behind ZipperLine Entertainment, and I’m all about chasing big dreams and building something real. I’ve been hooked on entrepreneurship since I was a kid growing up on my family’s farm in North Dakota—where I learned hard work, persistence, and the joy of making people smile. That spark led me to start my first business at 25: a small trucking company I built from scratch with cash and grit. I ran three trucks across the continental U.S., managing employees and navigating challenges until the economy tanked. Faced with a tough choice—fight a losing battle or regroup—I sold it, kept my head up, and moved forward.

Since then, I’ve jumped into the deep end of business again and again. I founded a freight broker company, set it up, and handed it off. Then I launched an auto detailing and reconditioning gig, ran it for a year, and pivoted when payment hiccups with a big client stalled progress. Along the way, I’ve driven trucks across the U.S., Canada, and even “just the tip” of Mexico—logging miles, learning lessons, and keeping the wheels turning. Every venture, every mile, has taught me something new about resilience and reinvention.

Why do I keep pushing? Simple: I want to create a better, less stressful life for my kids and grandkids—a life with more comfort and fewer struggles. That drive, plus a lifelong love of making people laugh, inspired ZipperLine Entertainment. What started as a hobby podcast has grown into a passion project—podcasts, blogs, comedy skits, and real-time updates—because I love learning, creating, and connecting. Right now, I’m juggling four websites, two podcasts, and still driving truck. It’s a wild ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m here to share what I’ve learned, entertain you along the way, and build a community of folks who get it—whether you’re an entrepreneur, a dreamer, or just someone who loves a good story. Stick around, let’s laugh, learn, and grow together!
